All of our admissions are handled by Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) – please contact them directly for applications to Houstone School. They can be contacted on 0300 300 8037 or you can apply online here: School admissions | Central Bedfordshire Council.
Once CBC has processed your application it will be forwarded to us here at Houstone School. A place will only be offered if we have not reached our optimum number in that year group.
A member of our Administration Team will then contact you to arrange an initial meeting. If we are unable to offer a place you will be contacted by CBC who will advise you on how to proceed.
Start dates and times for September 2022 differ by year group:
Year 7 – Monday 12th September – start at 8:25AM (gate open from 8AM) and finish at 3:20PM
Year 8 – Tuesday 13th September – start at 9AM (gate open from 8:30AM) and finish at 3:20PM
Year 9 – Tuesday 13th September – start at 10AM (gate open from 9:30AM) and finish at 3:20PM
Year 10 – Monday 12th September – start at 1:30PM (gate open from 1:15PM) and finish
*The rest of the school week will run as per our normal timetable.
Pupils should wear full school uniform on their first day.
We are opening in a temporary site whilst we await the completion of our main building. Our temporary site is the UTC (University Technical College of Bedfordshire) building, which has been repurposed into a secondary school for our use. Our address is Houstone School, Parkside Drive, Houghton Regis, LU5 5PY.
Our building has been painted beige (it is no longer blue).
Our pupil entrance is the black gate to the side of the main reception.

Houstone School are able to sell the equipment packs to families for £15 (pupils eligible for Free School Meals will receive one pack for free in September.
