We are very proud of our academic ethos and curriculum, and enabling our pupils to achieve their potential is of paramount importance to us. We deliver a traditional curriculum to an exceptionally high standard to ensure good results. We complement this with enrichment sessions that all pupils take part in every week, and with trips and visits to broaden pupils’ experiences of the world.
Our mission is to establish ourselves as an exceptional provider of an excellent education that enables our pupils to leave us equipped to flourish in their futures, including the opportunity to study at the most selective universities.
We are very proud of our pupils, and place a strong, strict but warm culture and ethos at the top of our priorities. Pupils at Houstone School are free to learn, uninterrupted by unnecessary distractions, because we operate a firm approach to discipline. This ensures our pupils develop the habits that will be necessary to be successful, independent adults.
Whilst we are focussed on academic outcomes, Houstone is a small school, so we get to know all of our pupils and their families well. Like all schools in the trust family, we run Houstone school along the following maxim: if it isn’t good enough for our own children or loved ones, it isn’t good enough. We call this the ‘Sophie Test,’ named after the daughter of the founding member of Advantage Schools.
After reading this, please do not hesitate to contact us to have a look round. Nothing really matches seeing a school for yourself, and I would be delighted to arrange a visit to see us in action.
